This afternoon the Vice-chancellor NOUN Prof Abdalla Uba Adamu received a certificate of confirmation as the "Olumeto Eko " of Akure by the Deji of Akure.
The certificate was presented to the Vice-chancellor in his office on behalf of the Deji by Dr. Ogundiran Samuel centre Director NOUN Akure.
According to the DVC Admin NOUN Prof Victor Adedipe who spoke to NOUNnews says, the title Olumetu literally means "master planner" was conferred to Adamu in view of his concerns to uplift the people of Akure educationally.
Prof. Adamu thanked the Deji for the honour.
A date for the coronation to be fixed soon.
The Chieftaincy Title is 'OLUMETO EKO' of Akure Land.
