Vice-Chancellor of the National Open University of Nigeria (NOUN), Prof. Abdalla Uba Adamu, has taken the advantage of the on-going promotional examination for the staff of Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN) currently taking place at the university and extended advocacy of open and distance learning.
Adamu also took time to paint graphic details of the chances abound and advantages available with studying in the university during his interaction with the TCN staff at the premises of their examination venue.
He advised them to come and take advantage of the flexibility and affordability NOUN offers to further their studies.
The Vice-Chancellor, who briskly saw the opportunity of driving the university’s advocacy, took time to speak to the TCN staff individually and promised to grant any of them, with necessary requirements, admission on the spot if they so desire to enrol.
The VC then completed the advocacy with the distribution of souvenir to each one of them.
The recipients, on their part, did not mince works in pouring their appreciations on the Vice-Chancellor for showing great humility.
They were particularly thrilled for the VC in coming down from his office, introduced himself and spoke to them in a most friendly manner, which is uncommon to most chief executive officers.
